The Effects Of Acne On Personality And Identity

Acne can have several effects on a persons life starting from early adolescence into the adult phase. Acne effects more than 300 million each year and has been attributed to depression since it can effect a persons emotional, mental and physical state. There are few factors that attribute to severe acne however acne in general is caused by the Androgen gland producing hormones which causes your sebum gland to secrete thick oil clogging your skin. This phase is called puberty and usually starts in teenagers around the age of 13.

What I will like to do is go through a few important effects that acne can have on the following: Emotions, Mental Stability and Physical appearance.

Emotional:

When someone suffers from acne it can be a very hard time. Due to the increase in hormones your body feels the need to adjust itself to counteract the extra levels within your blood. Since your mood depends on stability and the extra hormones reverses internal stability, your mood goes through several changes. You may feel more angered, depressed and even certain things may affect you a lot more than they normally due.

The best thing to do at this point is to exercise so your body can release endorphins into your blood which are known as your bodies natural pain killers. This may help stabilize your mood.

Mental:

The major mental effect that acne has is that your view of the world can change and the innocence that you once had can change within a few months. When the extra hormones kick in your mood changes and what you viewed once to be so perfect changes in your eye. Having this effect reiterated within your mind over and over again will change your overall mental state. Mentally this is not good because if you once viewed something as pure and natural is now viewed as evil or dark.

Physical Appearance

This is the most important effect that acne may have on your mind. Since acne breakouts can occur all over your mind like your face, back, chest and even lower abdominal, you may be the victim to harsh bullying and your relationship may with the opposite sex may change instantaneously. You might find it very difficult to find a date or find someone to care about you. People of the same sex can make fun of you which will have an emotional effect as well.

Personally the most important negative effect is your self confidence may become effects. Since confidence is required in everyday life, a lack of confidence can effect your job performance, education and even your social life. This is a chain effect which takes place because a change in your physical appearance can effect your mental and emotional state. However, they all effect each other different but equally.

The good new is that they are many resources available to you if you require any kind of help. You can search the internet for information and even products that can help decrease acne breakouts.

You can find more information at the Acne No More Review, where you will find resources and product reviews like the Exposed Acne Treatment Review.
